Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, all types of cards can be submitted in the same package. We ensure they are sorted, authenticated, and assigned to the correct grading specialist once they arrive.
Simply submit a request via the Support page and provide a description of the issue. A team member will reach out to you shortly and provide a complimentary shipping label (if necessary) to return the card for correction. All label errors are corrected free of charge. You can easily add autograph grading during the submission process. Once you have entered the card details, a prompt reading ‘Is an autograph present on the card?’ will appear. Select ‘Yes’ and follow the instructions. If you possess any form of proof, such as a Certificate of Authenticity or photographs, it is strongly suggested that you upload them to aid the authentication process.
Yes, autographs can be graded independently. The encapsulation label will feature the word “Trading Card” the name of the person who signed the card, and the corresponding authentication grade. Please note that we only accept standard-sized trading cards (2.5 x 3.5) for this service; we cannot authenticate or encapsulate oversized cards. Vintage or smaller-sized cards, however, are accepted.
Mint Authentication guarantees that all submitted cards will be graded in strict accordance with Mint Authentication’s established grading standards and procedures.
If Mint Authentication subsequently concludes that a card fails our authenticity standards or no longer merits the originally assigned Mint Authentication grade, we will offer one of two remedies:
- If the card can no longer receive a numerical grade (e.g., deemed non-authentic UG2): Mint Authentication will buy the card from the submitter at its current market value.
- If the numerical grade is lowered: Mint Authentication will refund the difference in value between the card’s original grade and its new, lower grade. The card will then be returned to the customer along with the refund.
